Survivorsaurus-Lex (Dalton Family and Friends)
We're working to end cancer … and we need your help!
On Saturday, December 8, 2018, Our team is participating in the 13th annual Miles for Moffitt run/walk event. Grammasaurus Karen and her friends started the race in 2006 to raise money for cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center. It soon became a favorite event for Tampa runners and cancer survivors and their families and Moffitt employes, too. Much money has been raised over the years and much research has been funded which translates to saving lives! Always a lot of heart, sweat, hard work and fun! Over $3million has been raised since the inception!
But there's so much MORE work to do. So many MORE lives still to be saved! And fun to be had! I love the fact that the race will now begin in downtown Tampa in early December. The Dalton family will be there in force with all of our friends. Little Alex, my grandson, who turns two in October will be our lead Survivorsaurus. He is fighting leukemia all the way and he is winning. He loves dinosaurs and he is a survivor. As am I. As is our son. WE are THRILLED that Alex is in remission and on his way to being cured like me and his uncle. We will all be celebrating on December 8 by putting cancer on the run at Miles for Moffitt.
Look for the Survivorsaurus-Lex tee shirts at the race. The first 50 people to sign up will get a tee shirt.
That's why we're asking you to support me and my team in our Miles for Moffitt run/walk — either by signing up to participate yourself (I'd love to have you on the team!), or by giving a tax-deductible gift to support our efforts. Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, every penny will help bring closer the day when cancer is beaten. Please do what you can to help. Thank you so much! Karen Dalton, Captain of Team Survivorsaurus-Lex
