The fight against cancer goes on 24 hours a day all over the world. There is no one we know who can say they don’t have a loved one who has battled this terrible disease. I read that in 2016, there were an estimated 15.5 million cancer survivors living in the United Sates. But by 2026, the number of cancer survivors is expected to increase to 20.3 million thanks to advances in treatment and early detection. These numbers are changing for the better because of you – your support fuels the minds of Moffitt’s researchers, gives courage to their clinicians and helps save more lives.
I have been on the Institute Board of Directors at Moffitt for the past three years and I have witnessed firsthand the incredible strides Moffitt is making in the battle against cancer. And that is why this year, I have challenged the Board to make this our biggest year yet and raise $100,000!
Join our team and help more cancer patients become survivors! You can join by signing up to participate yourself (I'd love to have you on the team!), or by giving a tax-deductible gift to support our efforts. Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, every penny will help bring closer the day when cancer is beaten. Please do what you can to help.
