Miles for Moffitt presented by AutoNation

Team Raymadog

We're working to end cancer and we need your help!

On Saturday, December 8, 2018, our team, Team Raymadog, created in honor of Rayma Jenkins (named after the pet name given to her by her mom) is participating in the 13th annual Miles for Moffitt run/walk event. Every dollar of every team member's registration fee and every dollar our fundraising efforts bring in go completely to support lifesaving cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center. Moffitt researchers are at the very front lines of the effort to defeat cancer. They've already made so many amazing breakthroughs, and cancer patients here in Florida and around the world have benefited from their efforts. Rayma was a patient at Moffitt and finishes her last treatments at this facility.

Rayma Jenkins passed this life on Nov. 27, 2012 at the age of 29. She grew up in Tampa where she graduated from H.B. Plant High School in 2002. At Plant, Rayma excelled in soccer and basketball. She went on to graduate from the University of Central Florida where she served two consecutive terms as photo editor for the University's newspaper. She was employed by L3 Communications in Washington D.C. During family vacations in the Florida Keys, Rayma developed a passion for the outdoors. As a youth, she spent countless days boating and fishing on Tampa Bay. As a young adult, she loved entertaining friends at her family's Homosassa River cabin. She was an avid scuba diver and accomplished photographer. Most of all, Rayma loved sharing unique experiences with friends & family.

This will be our 5th year as Team Raymadog and we'd love for you to join us — either by signing up to participate yourself (I'd love to have you on the team!), or by giving a tax-deductible gift to support our efforts. Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, every penny will help bring closer the day when cancer is beaten. Please do what you can to help. Thank you so much!
