This year we celebrate the 6th year anniversary of Team Hunter as Team Hunter was formed in 2014 to support my grandson, Hunter. Hunter was diagnosed August 1, 2013 with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. Hunter thought it was pretty cool that a team had been formed for his support. He and his family were signed up as virtual runners as they live in Iowa. Hunter knew his shirt from the race would be different from the rest, as his would say survivor, once again his words were, cool. While Hunter was a determined warrior and fought hard, he earned his wings May 8, 2014, 2 days prior to the 2014 race. There will always be a Team Hunter, anyone is welcome to sign up and to help raise awareness as with awareness comes more funding and research. For those fighting cancer and those who have friends or family fighting cancer know that they do not fight alone and as the bracelet Hunter wore said, NEGU (never ever give up)!
On Saturday, November 23, 2019, Our team is participating in the 14th annual Miles for Moffitt run/walk event. 100% of the registration fees and every dollar of our fundraising efforts support lifesaving cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Join us to support the fighters, honor the taken and admire the survivors!
