We're working to end cancer … and you can help!
On Saturday, November 23, 2019, team Shorty 5K is participating in the Miles for Moffitt run/walk event in downtown Tampa. Our team is celebrating the life of Keysha “Shorty K” Williams. Keysha gained her angel wings last year, but she lives on through the many people she touched with her love and unforgettable laughter.
Here are a few memories from some Shorty 5K team members:
“Keysha guided me through so many tough situations. She helped me see that in the end, being the bigger person is good for your soul. It’s not always the easiest path, but it’s the right one. To this day, I often think what would Keysha do? She continues to make me a better person.”
“She had the amazing ability to brighten your mood with just her beautiful smile. And sometimes with a dance.”
“Keysha blessed so many with her huge heart. She inspired others to live each day to the fullest.”
“My birthday was never complete until I heard Keysha’s Birthday Song!”
"I don't think there was a bigger USF cheerleader than Keysha. She LOVED her Bulls!"
Here's how you can help! Every dollar of Miles for Moffitt registration fees and fundraising goes completely to support lifesaving cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center. Moffitt researchers have already made so many amazing breakthroughs. That's why we're asking you to help support by either signing up to participate yourself (we'd love to have you on the team!), or by giving a tax-deductible gift to support our efforts. Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, every penny will help bring closer the day when cancer is beaten. We thank you for supporting this cause, which is so close to our hearts. Join us as we support the fighters, honor the taken, and admire the survivors!
