Welcome to My Personal Fundraising Page!

Courage brings us together. Nothing can tear us apart.
On Saturday, October 24, I'm participating in the 15th annual Miles for Moffitt...and I need your help!
My Story: June 11, 2019 was the day I heard words no one wants to hear "you have ovarian cancer" a couple of days later I found out it was metastatic (it spread) and a couple of weeks later I was informed I was stage 4. I had a CT at the beginning of March for an unrelated issue and I was clear, no cancer, just a 5 cm cyst and by June 11 I was stage 4. There is no screening for Ovarian cancer, which is why it like Pancreatic cancer it is often not detected until late stage. I immediately knew I would go to Moffitt as I wanted the best possible chance at survival; I have not regretted that decision. I have had an amazing team and benefitted from the research that this event helps sponsors, a procedure used during surgery to remove my cancer was used, this procedure made cancer cells, that normally would not be seen, light up and my oncologist was able to remove more cancer cells that would have gone unnoticed. Research is needed to find a method of early detection for cancers that there is currently no test or screening for, and treatment methods to improve survival odds. Today I am doing well, I continue to go for checkups every 2 months to make sure I stay that way; I have had an amazing support base of family, friends, as well as the Moffitt organization.,
Please join me in raising funds for Moffitt patients, families, survivors, and caregivers by joining my team or making a gift to my personal fundraising page. Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, every dollar is critical to supporting Moffitt's mission - to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer.
Thank you for your support and being an important part of the Miles for Moffitt community.
