Welcome to My Personal Page
I am participation in Miles for Moffitt in memory of Deborah Eisinger, my very amazing mother. My mother was treated at this center so it is very near and dear to my heart. (I want to say a huge thank you to her surgeon Dr Lary Robinson, if it wasn’t for him she wouldn’t have lived as long as she did). For the ones who do not know me or my mother, she was originally diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in November of 2000. She was treated with chemotherapy and radiation therapy then underwent surgery at Moffitt in March of 2001. She had a lobe of her lung removed as well as ribs, muscle, and other masses. After more months of treatments she went into readmission in 2002 and unfortunately was rediagnosed in 2005. She was the strongest person I have ever met and I promise I am not just saying that because she is my mom. She fought so hard. Even when she had nothing left in her, she was the very best mother she could be. She never gave up and smiled through it all. She was determined to beat cancer. She did it once so we thought she could do it again but this time it was much worse. After a couple years with her many many doctor visits, tests, chemo treatments, radiation treatments, drugs, and hospital stays she lost her battle to cancer in January of 2008. This year marks 11 years without her, and she is missed so much!
Lets all do what we can to help bring a stop to cancer, support me in my Miles for Moffitt run/walk. Whether you can give $1 or $1,000, every penny will help bring closer the day when cancer is no longer a threat. Thank you so much!
