Welcome to My Personal Fundraising Page!
On Saturday, October 24, I'm participating in the 15th annual Miles for Moffitt...and I need your help!
My father started his treatment at Moffitt in the spring of 2014 after he was diagnosed with stage 4 nasal cancer, my niece Cassie ( his youngest grandchild ) , who was 3 years old at the time of his diagnosis . My mother would even bring her to his radiation and chemotherapy appointments . The nurses and volunteers would allow Cassie to greet patients and help pass out ice cream some days . A memory that has always stuck with my family .
By the fall of 2014, Cassie would be diagnosed with stage 2 ganglioneuroblastoma . Cards , toys and flowers began flooding our home from the volunteers and nurses at Moffitt wishing her luck on her treatment .
Moffitt saved my father’s life and even though they never treated my niece , they still managed to heal my family in ways I could never express . For 4 years my family has volunteered at Miles for Moffitt . In support of my family, research , and the wonderful staff and volunteers !
